WHAT AN AMAZING HOME!!!
Where to start...first of all the home itself is huge! We had 13 people (7 kids) and had plenty of room to spread out and get away from each other if we needed. The bedrooms are very big and nicely decorated. The third floor is so cool, especially for the kids, anytime we were inside, they were upstairs. This home is like 100 years old and meticulously maintained. It has much of the original restored trim and hardware in the home and is just really cool to see. The house stays very cool thanks to great ac throughout the home. There is also a ton of outdoor space with the large wrap around porch, private deck and separate fire pit area. The garage had tons of beach toys and beach cart for us to use, along with a badminton net, ping pong table, basketball hoop and other outdoor toys. The kitchen is very well supplied with all of the necessary utensils to cook ANYTHING. There was a nice new grill also. The location was great, walking distance (even for little kids) to downtown, and in a great quiet part of town, on a dead end which was great to not worry about cars for the small children. The owners were great about getting back to us about specific questions about the home. The management company was also very great to deal with, and just a block away from the home. I honestly can't find one bad thing to say about the home.....JUST PERFECT!!!!

We are so very happy to have vacationed and celebrated in South Haven at the Sunset Victorian Retreat. The house was fabulous - the owners were wonderful!! We could not have asked for anything better! Sunset Victorian Retreat would be a very comfortable South Haven destination for anyone visiting the area for the first time - or any time; especially if a large group was planning to stay together under the same roof. The property offers a well equipped kitchen and dining room that quickly becomes the central gathering area of the home and avails the opportunity for easy interactive access to group planning and recapping the day's events. The majority of bedrooms are on the second floor with privacy for all and hence "comfort " is the word that first comes to mind when describing what it's like to stay in this wonderful home. The walk to downtown is quick and easy and location is of course extremely important to anyone vacationing at South Haven. But of course the over-arching reason for recommending SVR to anyone would be that the owners, Lisa and Rion, have taken a comprehensive approach to ensuring that their property literally becomes your home away from home from the moment you set foot into it!

Amazing rental property with beautiful home and outdoor space. Perfect for a large group, so many games, super close to the beach and downtown. This house made our family weekend really special! We would definitely come back!

Thank you for a wonderful time! This house was the perfect size to accommodate our large group! We spent days playing games in the yard and evenings surrounding the table outside before returning to the garage to play ping pong.

We rented this home for a bachelor / bachelorette party and it was really great for the occasion. Plenty of space for 14 people, clean and walking distance to the town center.

Such a wonderful vacation. In a few days we were able to squeeze in so much fun! Sunsets, beach day, a visit to Saugatuck, and so much more. The highlight was to come “home” to such a beautiful home away from home. Thank you!

We had a very fun week playing ping-pong, bean bag toss and going to the beach. We also enjoyed the attic area. We had a delicious pizza dinner at Maria’s with yummy breadsticks and we sampled all 16 flavors of rootbeer there! Many nights were spent playing games around the table like Presidents, Wits and Wagers, Rook and Bonanza. The weather was beautiful while we were here and we enjoyed a few days at the beach. We also had yummy s’mores thanks to the fire pit!

This is the second time staying at the Victorian house. Absolutely beautiful and will definitely go again. There is so much room. The wrap around porch is a great place to relax, read a book, take a nap :). Walking distance to downtown. Love the shops. This is someplace I would definitely recommend for a ladies retreat, family vacation, etc. Loved all the nook and crannies of this old Victorian.

We stayed at the Sunset Victorian for a week. We had a house full of guests and it was the most wonderful and amazing experience. Since we were hosting our daughter’s wedding and reception in South Haven we needed a large house and lots of space. It became our HOME for that week with people dropping by and gatherings of family and friends. It was so perfect and we could have never asked for more. All of this happened in September of 2013 and every time we look at the pictures we are so thrilled with our choice of the lovely Sunset Victorian!!! Thank You so much!

The house was beautiful, spacious with all the amenities. The history was in the house and its appearance. Loved the wrap around porch...great for early morning coffee and reading in the summer. We had a wonderful week at your home! We had 16 people here - ages 3 to 63 years old! This home fit us all well and we LOVED the front porch and rocking chairs. The kids had a huge yard to play in. You have thought of it all with all the games and kid's toys you have in the garage. The outdoor shower was a huge and perfect surprise to enjoy! We love the outdoor showers when at the beach - they are so refreshing and keep sand out of the house! It was easy to walk to town, the beach, and the park.
